There was a lot to choose from this week, but here's what we went with:
1) D-Day adventure (In addition to everything we posted, we forgot to mention how nice the French were to Americans (particularly vets) in Normandy. Restaurants had signs "Welcome Liberators!" and the people came out of their shops to wave at the buses driving by on their way to the beaches, it gives you goosebumps.)
2) Effiel tower (from the ground at Tracadero, in the elevator with the WWII vet, and on top)
3) The grilled cheese bagguettes in the Latin Quarter (Paris), seriously.
4) In Lyon, drinking a 2 euro beer out of a plastic cup on the steps of St. John's Cathedral bought from a church festival with a medieval theme, watching the locals toss each other in the fountain and play soccer.
5) Ice cream in a Glasgow park with celebrating University students.
Runners-up (there was a lot to choose from): Glasgow cathedral and cemetary, Avignon as a whole, Paris' Church on the Hill, and Paris' Arc de Triomphe.
