Today's big goal was to take a ferry ride (it's easy to relax with such low expectations). We decided to go in the morning, that way we could enjoy our hotel's portion of the lake in the hot afternoon.
We caught the ferry from our town and thought we'd get off at Villa C, where we thought Star Wars was filmed. We realized we had the wrong Villa, and hopped back on a ferry to Lenno to get to Villa B. This was not really an issue, as the ferry ride itself was great (good call Posti). Also, with all our boat rides today we never saw Bill Murray or Clooney...
After finding out the hard way that the hiking path to Villa B was closed for the day, we took a water taxi. The gardens of Villa B are a great place to get stunning views of Lake Como (see picture), and we had a good half hour of roaming and picture taking before leaving.
We headed back at 2 and enjoyed our hotel (lake & restaurant) for the rest of the day. We're feeling a little re-energized after a few days in Como, and are looking forward to the adventures that are sure to come in Czech Republic, Austria, and Hungary.
PS - Good to see the comment board lighting up again after the 4th of July break. Any thoughts on Prague?
